This circular walk will go, via Lamaload Reservoir, to Shining Tor, then staying high, go north, via Cats Tor, Pyms Chair, Windgather Rocks and Tixall Edge.

We go just south of Kettleshume, to pick up a fairly high path with good views before heading south, via Charles Head Farm. At Waggonshaw Brow we will take a roughly westerly direction, back to the starting point.

The walk offers good views, throughout. While being reasonably demanding, as it includes some stiff climbs, the route didn’t pose any difficulties for a friend of mine, in his eighties, who had no difficulties walking the route with me.
