Basically, we head in a northern direction, via Davy Morganís Dingle. We take a path, on the eastern flank of Cowlod (hill), to help take us to the mast, at Black Mixen, over high moorland. From the mast, we will make our way to New Radnor, taking a path between Whinyard Rocks and Whimble (Hill) as we go.

Having passed through New Radnor, we cross the A44, take the minor road to Smatcher Cottage, where we will head west, via Highgate Hill, before crossing the A44, once more, for a short ascent to the car park.

Much of this hilly walk is in a wild, barren area. While it undulates, it basically consists of two hills, which we will ascend and descend. As you might expect it provides some good views. Some of the paths may be over soft, wet ground but not necessarily muddy.
