A walk up and down the Breidden hills of Moel y Golfa, Rodney's Pillar, Bulthy Hill and Middletown Hill. About 8 miles with 2,400 feet of ascent.

Meet at the Abbey at 9.30 to start the walk from Middletown Village Hall car park at 10 am. This is located just before the Breidden pub. Slow entry into the village the pub sign will come into view and the village hall is on the left as soon as you see the sign.

A brief bit of tarmac walking starts the walk before crossing over the busy A458 to enter a field heading onto the lower forested slopes of Moel Y Golfa. We drop down through the forest before going on a short tarmac section into further woodland towards Rodney's Pillar. Potential stop point within the woods with large table and seating then onto the top  with again great 360 degree views. Our next destination can clearly be seen from here. Then on towards Bulthy and Middletown hills with an easy descent from the latter back to the car park.

There are some steep and potentially slippery sections so if you are a pole user do bring them. The ground will be wet so gaiters are recommended.

Great views guaranteed from all the summits if the weather is on our side.
