Sunday 1st January 2017 - Wentnor Wobble

A therapeutic route of gradual inclination and gentle meanders and eventual disinclination to do anything much, starting from the Batch NT car park at All Stretton .

Midway, those whose hangover is wearing off may top up at the pub in Wentnor, where pies will be available for those so inclined.  The rest can stiffen their resolve, whereupon further initial inclination will be followed by total disinclination and a return to the car park, hopefully before dark.

Distance, very subjective, say 11 miles.

***  Wentnor is the home of the Crown pub.  It has a good reputation for homemade pies and ideally, given time and room at the inn, walkers can take advantage of the pub's offerings halfway through the walk by way of a pie and/or a drink. As this a popular day to be out, there's a good chance the pub will be busy, so we suggest that walkers come prepared with enough food and drink to sustain them in case the pub is too busy. If it's not, and you eat a pub meal, you can always scoff your sarnies later. ***
