Sunday 19th January 2020 - Lyth Hill and Earl's Hill

This 'lollipop' route starting and finishing on Lyth Hill follows tracks, quiet lanes and woodland paths for about 12 miles to Exfords Green, on to the Oaks then an ascent of Earl's Hill from the southern end. Time to take in the splendid views (hopefully) from the summit before we descend the northern end and Pontesford Hill. We'll then take a north easterly route to Longden and back to the start point. Apart from the sharp ascent and descent of Earl's Hill and a gradual ascent back to the top of Lyth Hill this is an easy, undulating walk. It is likely to be very muddy in places but the quiet lanes will give us some respite.
