    Toilet facilities are available in the village and reached shortly after the walk start.

    The walk leaves the village in a SW direction before climbing NW towards and then along the River Teirw. We then head NW, passing through the Ceiriog Forest, for the ‘North Berwyn Way’ and the summit of Vivod Mountain. From here we descend into Llangollen and a short river walk, before threading our way through the town, to briefly explore the grounds of the historic Plas Newydd house.

    From there we will take the Allt y Badi ‘street’ back into the Ceiriog Valley and then taking an interesting cross country route back to the start, descending all the way.
