Journey time from Shrewsbury approx. 40 minutes.

We pass the Arbor Tree, ascend Hopesay Hill, skirt Wart Hill, the paths over which are currently closed due to many fallen trees and extensive forestry operations, and thence to Horderley where we contemplate the remnants of a past transport system up the Valley of the Onny. Over Ridgeway Hill and up Burford Bank before descending to Hopesay. Passing Hopesay Church with its information board the final climb ascends to the well preserved Burrow Hill Fort giving fine views from the highest point on the walk. Thence back down to Aston on Clun.
