Sunday 26th May 2019 - Aran Ridge

The plan is to do a linear walk, starting in Llanuwchllyn (SH879298) and taking us over Aran Benllyn (885m) and Aran Fawddwy (905m or 2970 ft). The walk ends in Rhydymain, which means there'll need to be some fiddling about with cars before and possibly after the walk. That shouldn't be too disruptive; it only takes 10 minutes or so to drive between the start and finish points. Unfortunately, the bus on Sunday would leave us rather too late starting.

The walk itself is under 12 miles, but it is strenuous, and of course takes us to nearly 3000 ft. It will probably take upwards of 6 hours. I've chosen a north to south route because the mountain aspects are better, but if there's a stiff southerly wind I may change it round, which is what we did on the previous iteration of this walk in August 2016.
