Club – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Compliance
The Club Secretary and Treasurer each
hold a list of members’ names, addresses, email addresses and phone
numbers.
The Treasurer also holds the completed application forms for all
members, which
may contain emergency contact details. A list of names and email
addresses is
also held by the web master.
This information enables the club
officers to communicate with members about Club matters, and on
occasion to
contact members who haven't been out with the club for a while, or who
haven't
paid their subscription for the year. The email list is mainly used to
inform
all members when a walk has been changed, or when a special event has
been
organised.
All members have the right to check their
personal data, and to amend or delete it if desired. It will be deleted
two
years after a member leaves the club.
The data is not shared with any
other organisation. |
