Sunday 27th August 2017 - Stiperstones

With the weather on our side, this 10 mile route with 2200 feet of ascent will give constant far reaching views in all directions towards Corndon and the Long Mountain, the Long Mynd and the Stiperstones ridge.  From the large car park near The Bog Visitor Centre we'll follow footpaths and tracks through farmland and woods and over heathland (where the heather may still be in bloom) to the top of Heath Mynd.  Our return route necessitates a stretch of quiet lane past Linley up to the less visited end of the Stiperstones.  A path through the Nipstone Nature Reserve will return us to the car park in time for refreshments at The Bog Visitor Centre.
