Sunday 9th September 2018 - Ridgegate Reservoir

     Ridgegate Reservoir, near Macclesfield - 16.5 miles. This is Category ‘B’, on distance alone. While there are ups and downs, they aren’t particularly challenging. The walk starts at the road that runs alongside the reservoir before entering the Macclesfield Forest and onto a route over Shutlingsloe, Cheshire’s third highest peak. From there we will be making our way to Gradbach, picking up the Dane Valley Way until it meets’ the Gritstone Trail, which is our route back to the start. Meet at 08.00 for a 10.00 walk start. It should take 100 minutes to cover the 61 miles from Abbey Foregate, with no need to go via S.O.T
