19th May 2019 - Montgomery
Start from the Abbey at 9:00; from the town square in Montgomery around
9:45. The route takes us up to the castle, then up to the fine
viewpoint of the War Memorial. From there we go down towards Upper
Mount and pick up the brideway around Caeliber Isaf to Cwmberlian and
Cwm, then to the pleasant little village of Llandyssil, which does have
a pub, the Upper House Inn. Llandyssil is the likely lunch stop, after
which we head up a steep road to Cefnlian, then via footpaths back to
the Fort above Montgomery.
Total distance is around 11 miles, with 2000 feet or so of ascent.
