Sunday 21st November 2021 - Linley Beeches  and Heath Mynd

Meet at the Abbey at 08:30, or at the walk start at 09:00. We will start from the parking area at SO356997, between Stiperstones and Tankerville, on a slightly awkward bend.

Car sharing is now an option, but not obligatory. If you wish to go directly to the start point, please inform the walk leader before the day of the walk, either by text, or preferably by email.

The walk takes us on a path below the Stiperstones, along the Shropshire Way past Nipstone and up to Linley Beeches, then around to Heath Mynd and back via Muckleswick Hill. The autumn colours should be magnificent, especially coming off Heath Mynd, and there are superb views throughout.

Total walk distance is about 13 miles, with 2800 feet of climbing. We will be mostly on decent paths, apart from one unavoidable (short) stretch of heather-bashing to the summit of Heath Mynd. It will, of course, be muddy in places. Walk time around 6-7 hours.

       Walk leader: John Ellerslie, john.ellerslie@btinternet.com or landline 01743 360115 or mobile/text 07490 272286.
